# hunter.domains

> hunter.domains is an expired domain finder. Every day it scans about two million expiring, pending-delete and auctioned domains from GoDaddy Auctions, DropCatch, SnapNames, Sedo, Dynadot, Park.io and the .se/.nu registry, removes the ones with a spam history, scores the rest from 0 to 100 and emails users when a domain matching their rule appears.

Key facts:

- Audience: SEOs, niche-site builders, agencies and domain investors who buy expired or aged domains for their backlinks and history.
- What it checks: Ahrefs Domain Rating, Majestic Trust Flow and Citation Flow, referring domains, Semrush Authority Score, Open PageRank, and the Wayback Machine history of each candidate across the years.
- What it rejects: domains whose archive shows gambling, pharma or adult spam (including Thai, Chinese, Japanese and Korean spam), spam URL patterns, a change of both script and topic (a takeover), link-network footprints, Spamhaus DBL or SURBL listings, or almost no archived content.
- Risk flags shown on each report: inflated DR, parked period, topic changed, language changed, archive gap, trademark risk, not in Google.
- Free plan: 5 unlocked domains a day with their full report (free account required for the report), the full archive of ended domains, a 3-domain watchlist and a weekly email digest.
- Pro plan: $9.99 a month, or $5.99 a month billed yearly; there is no free trial and the subscription can be cancelled at any time. Full list by name, an “Available now” list of dropped domains that nobody registered (checked against the registry every two hours), niche and language filters, 10 alert rules, instant email notifications, reminders before an auction ends, detailed reports, a revival kit (old URLs and archived content) and CSV export.
- Domain checker: a full report on demand for any domain (not only listed ones). The first check is free with an account, Pro includes 30 checks a month, and a one-time pack of 10 checks costs $4.99.
- Free tools: domain age checker, domain expiration checker, drop date calculator (the day a pending-delete domain becomes available), WHOIS/RDAP lookup with explained status codes, Domain Rating checker, bulk availability checker and DNS lookup. Free, no account needed.
- Limits it states openly: it cannot see Google manual actions or algorithmic penalties, it does not run a trademark search, and a short spam period can fall between archive samples. There is no browser extension or mobile app.
- API, MCP and webhooks: a REST API (https://hunter.domains/api/v1, OpenAPI at https://hunter.domains/api/v1/openapi.json) returns the same lists and reports as JSON; an MCP server (https://hunter.domains/mcp, and https://hunter.domains/mcp/free without an account) lets AI assistants such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor search the list, read reports and run lookups; signed webhooks deliver alert matches to the user’s own endpoint. All three are part of the plans: the free plan gets the open domains, the archive and the lookups; Pro gets the full list, alert rules and webhooks.
- Languages: English and Turkish. Every page has a Markdown version at the same URL with `.md` appended.
